My story
Between Kiel and the world
Five chapters about roots, technology, major voyages, and the stories that grew from them.
Home port
From Kiel to the world
I was born and raised in Kiel, so the sea has been part of my life from the beginning. Today I live in Pforzheim, but my connection to northern Germany and the coast has never disappeared.
Travel began early, across Germany, other European countries, and Morocco. New York in July 2001 remains especially vivid: standing beneath the Empire State Building turned a destination into a lasting memory.
Background
Where technology meets language
I studied Computer Science and Spanish at Kiel University, completing both bachelor's and master's degrees.
Those worlds meet in my writing through careful observation, clear structure, and the pleasure of turning experiences into engaging stories.
Logbook
Voyages that stayed with me

A winter route through Europe and across the Atlantic.
A second world cruise with new ports and new stories.
Metropolises, the Mediterranean, and another season at sea.
From life on board
When voyages became books
I am interested in more than ports and landmarks. Sea days, routines, onboard encounters, and the moment a ship begins to feel like home matter just as much.
Cabin 9030
Everyday life and personal moments from the 2023 world cruise.
Voyage to Thirteen Ports
A winter journey through Europe and across the Atlantic.
Around the World at Table 643
The 2025 world cruise, told around one special meeting place.
Access Denied
Technology, onboard systems, and maritime suspense in close quarters.
